Who is an ideal camper for this camp?

There are essentially two curriculums in one as there are activities provided for the younger camper 3-8 and the older camper 9-12. This camp supports all children but does focus on increasing accessibility to a summer time activity for children with unique needs.

Can you tell me more about the content of the curriculum?

Sure! This camp supports fine motor, gross motor, language and sensory processing through purposeful activity with therapeutic intention. We even work in social emotional skill practice and awareness.

Is this camp more unstructured or structured activities?

Great question! Most of my curriculums and camps have structured activities. I do value unstructured free play time and attempt to work this into every camp. However, the camps I offer have therapeutic intention and consequently, I am providing structured activities to further development.

Does this camp include puppet show scripts?

Yes, it does! We love puppets to teach social emotional concepts! So fun and campers love it! We also provide book suggestions!

How do I know if this is a good investment?

Consider what your time is worth! Lisa has spent years perfecting this camp. This is the most popular of all the camps she provides and fill quickly. There are no royalties or franchise fees. Do you include animals in this camp?

Yes, typically we do! This is optional and presented as an option within the curriculum. You can also consider bringing in therapy dogs or other therapy animals to your camp if you do not have access to horses!

Why is it called Find Your Rhythm?

Music is a big part of this camp! We create musical instruments and play together. From an OT perspective rhythm is important for motor coordination. Bilateral skills are worked on when we are using two hands to play and instrument. We attune to others as we play together. We find joy in creating music together. If you are concerned about what this would look like - rhythm sticks are easy and you can make them out of sticks and pick a song to sing! So fun!

Can this be used for an indoor space too?

Yes, this curriculum can be adapted to indoor or outdoor or a combination of both.
