Find Your Rhythm Curriculum Description

Camp for ages 3-8 and then 9-12 (activities for both ages)

So essentially two camps in one curriculum! 

This camp focuses on all areas of development with a specific focus on motor skills, language skills, and social emotional skills.  The social emotional skills are supported through puppetry and storybooks.  You will be provided with music suggestions, books suggestions, activity descriptions and instructions along with puppet show scripts.  All activities are encouraged to be outdoors in nature.  However, this camp can be modified to a setting that has limited access to nature.  This camp is 3 hours each day in a Monday-Friday format.  The Find Your Rhythm Camp is intended for children with mild to moderate developmental challenges but all children are welcome and encouraged to attend.   This camp typically requires additional support from volunteers or other paid staff. 

Camp Importance

This is an incredible camp curriculum.  This nature based camp gives children with developmental challenges an opportunity to attend summer camp with peers.  Lisa Haverly reports that she now offers two Find Your Rhythm camps to keep up with demand.   Lisa has witnessed children beam with confidence as they take risks in nature to climb trees and navigate uneven terrain.  Lisa has witnessed children make lifelong friends and feel pure joy. This is a magical camp bringing together professional staff, special campers and sensory rich experiences.
