Sleep Starts Before Bedtime

You’ve tried a bedtime routine. So why is sleep still hard?

This training for parents and caregivers helps you look beyond bedtime to better understand your child’s sleep and where to begin supporting it.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Rhythm: How daily routines, light, movement, and outdoor time connect to sleep.

  • Shift: What may make the transition from awake to rest difficult.

  • Conditions: How sensory comfort, connection, and the sleep environment matter.

  • When to look deeper: Signs that your child may need additional professional support.

Leave with a clearer understanding of your child’s sleep, patterns to notice, and one practical change to explore.

You don’t need to change everything. Start with understanding.

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't be there live?

No problem. This will be recorded and available for preview following the live event.

I have tried many things. How will this be different?

You may have tried routines, products, and suggestions from people who meant well. It can be exhausting to keep trying without understanding why sleep is still difficult.

Sleep Starts Before Bedtime invites you to step back and ask: What might my child’s sleep patterns be telling me?

We’ll look beyond bedtime to explore daily rhythms, the transition toward rest, and your child’s comfort and environment. The goal is to help you make sense of what you’re noticing and choose a purposeful next step, rather than feel you need to try everything.

Some information may be familiar. The value is in connecting it to your child’s experience and recognizing when additional support is needed.

This course cannot promise to resolve every sleep challenge, but it offers a clearer place to begin.

Who is a good fit for this course?

Sleep Starts Before Bedtime is for parents and caregivers who want to better understand their child’s sleep and explore everyday supports. It’s a good fit if you’re curious about how daily rhythms, bedtime transitions, sensory comfort, and the sleep environment may be influencing your child’s rest.

What if my child has had a sleep study or has a neurological or medical condition?

You are welcome here, too. This course may offer a helpful educational layer alongside your child’s care. Having had a sleep study does not exclude your family from benefiting.

Children with complex medical or neurological needs may require close monitoring and individualized guidance. Continue working with your child’s healthcare team, and discuss any changes that could affect their care.

When would this course not be enough?

This course is not a stand-alone treatment for a diagnosed sleep disorder or a substitute for medical evaluation, medication guidance, or individualized care. If you need someone to assess your child’s specific challenges and develop a personalized plan, additional support will be important.

Sometimes understanding daily patterns is a helpful starting place. Sometimes a child needs several kinds of support working together. This course can be one part of that support.
